ReachX is looking for an independent Strategy Consultant to with experience in Real Estate technology / Residential Lettings sector to assist our client, a leading digital platform serving the UK residential letting industry with a strategic project.
The scope of the project will include the assessment of international opportunity through entry into up to 6 new markets, starting with Germany but to potentially include France, Spain, Holland, Australia, Canada.
Key components of the project to include:
- what are the key lettings metrics and business models in the residential lettings market?
- how much of the tenant journey do portals provide?
- which software vendors are active in the space?
- what is the penetration of key insurance products and who are the key providers?
- how competitive is the utility/media switching space, and what are typical commissions paid?
- what does the payment landscape look like - how do people pay rent, how widespread is Open Banking, what are the closest things to Direct Debit and Standing Orders
- Structure and mapping of the residential letting agents (size, largest players, tail ...)
- which startups are in the space and do any of them appear to be decent M&A targets?
